JOB SPECIFICATION:
The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will be:
* Understand all cost components, analyze and accurately report on this;
* Identify and administrate all general and specific accruals;
* Advice management of the financial implications of project expenditure or capital investments;
* Explain the financial consequences of business decisions applying accounting techniques to plan and budget;
* Supply management with the relevant information to formulate business strategies;
* Monitor spending and financial control;
* Identify and manage risk;
* Conducting internal business audits;
* Review and ensure accurate plant allocations for reporting and cost allocations;
* Proactively identify and analyze cost variances;
* Ensure compliance to accounting standards;
* Recommend and implement improvements to the accounting process;
* Ensure financial systems data integration;
* Coordinate various adhoc projects and new system implementations.
Job Requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* B. Comm. in Accounting/ Finance;
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting;
* Knowledge of financial reporting in a Management Accounting environment;
* Excellent knowledge of JD Edwards,
* Excellent knowledge of Hubble (Insight) report development and OLAP data warehouse will be advantageous;
* Advanced MS Office Package’
* High personal integrity and professionalism;
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
* Self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as within a team;
* Excellent organization and time management abilities plus the capacity to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment;
* Strong communication and interpersonal competencies
