Senior Facilities Manager – Middelburg, Netherlands
A leading global Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to oversee operations at a life sciences manufacturing facility in Middelburg. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for delivering both hard and soft services to the highest standards, while driving client satisfaction and ensuring compliance with strict industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of facility operations including maintenance, safety, security, and compliance.
- Act as the primary client contact, building strong and trust-based relationships.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse facilities team.
- Manage budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
- Deliver facility improvement projects, upgrades, and renovations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Manage vendors and contractors to maintain consistent performance.
- Implement crisis and contingency plans for operational resilience.
- Provide regular performance, budget, and client satisfaction reports.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8 years’ FM experience, with at least 3 in a life sciences/manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
- Proven client relationship management experience.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with FM software/tools.
