The main purpose of the job is to co-ordinate the purchasing of all stock for the business to ensure that only approved suppliers are utilized to ensure that pre-determined stock levels are not exceed and to minimize stock-outs.
Job Description
1. Assisting the Buyer with Administration functions: Provide analytical, operational, and clerical support to Buyers
2. Accurate completion of orders: Placing orders and completing the corresponding paperwork
3. Manage Brand codes: Manage and create Brand Names and Brand Codes for customers
4. Stock Management: Ordering, storing, tracking, and controlling inventory.
5. Price Negotiations: Price negotiations with suppliers where applicable
6. Supplier Deliveries: Assist in arranging supplier deliveries
7. Supplier Co-ordination & relationship building
8. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
9. To uphold and promote the company values and culture
Job Requirements
1. Grade 12
2. Relevant experience in a computerised retail environment
3. High level of proficiency
4. 3 years’ experience in Buying Administration
5. Experience and understanding of retail business principles
6. Own transport and valid driver’s license
